Computers for kids - free/low cost computers

I am a disabled individual who just happens to be HIV+, and live in Sylacauga, Alabama, zip code 35150. I haven't been able to find any resources around here in Alabama - the only thing that came close is ComCast which isn't available in my area - they offer a laptop or desktop for a small fee IF they serve your area...unfortunately they don't cover where I live.
One of the things I have not been able to do is complete my secondary education - a goal I would like very much to reach one day. I am on a fixed income of SSI benefits and also receive SNAP (food stamps) so can't really afford to buy a laptop or a desktop computer. I would really like to start taking some online courses and eventually be able to get my degree but need a computer in order to do this. I can get internet access by going to the public library, McDonalds, Starbucks, or a few other places around here since I can't afford internet access on my own; I am at my grandparent's house now sending this request. I thought long and hard about this because I really feel bad asking for anything but see no other way to be able to get the schooling that I so badly want. Online courses are the best choice for me because actually having to go in person to attend school is way, way out of my budget. So I would be so very grateful for your considering me for any possible help. Please feel free to contact me at the telephone number and/or the email address I listed above. I can provide my SSI award letter as well as my EBT benefit letter when and if it's needed.
I graduated top of my class in High School, as Valedictorian, have a year of junior college but want to try to better myself and my life. Thank you for taking the time to read this message and if you need any other information from me please give me a call. Respectfully, Colby S. Smith
